If you're an average gym-goer and looking for a good choice of recovery  beverage a study on nutrition has an unlikely top choice. The study by Indiana  University published in the "International Journal of Sports Nutrition and  Metabolism" says before reaching for protein smoothies or muscle-building drinks  your wisest option is chocolate milk.

It seems that for the average workout regular ol' chocolate milk has  the right amount of protein, carbs and sugar unlike high-priced store-bought  energy drinks.  The study also discovered chocolate milk has vitamins and  nutrients not typically found in commercially-produced energy  drinks.
